World’s biggest problem: Lack of access to potable water.

I was fascinated to learn: How to surf because there is more to it than I thought. You have to factor in balance, weather, board positioning, and even the wave patterns!

Most inspiring teacher: Mr. Drew Mabe, taught me in several business and entrepreneurial classes throughout high school. He inspired me to join DECA (a business competition club), and with his help and motivation, I was able to win multiple state and international awards for my business projects.

Impactful book: “Divergent” by Veronica Roth. The excitement and adventure in Divergent, and my ability to relate to the characters, sparked my interest in books and I’ve been a reading fanatic ever since.

It is hard to believe: Millions of people are being oppressed by governments that forbid speech, religion, and the sharing of information.

Who epitomizes a good American: Bill Gates. He lived the American Dream, creating a company that sells products that people need and providing many job opportunities. He uses his wealth and power and position to give back to make a difference in the world.

My favorite charity: Northwest Community Church. They not only care about the spiritual well-being but also the physical health of people locally and abroad. From Durham, North Carolina to the West Pokot district of Kenya. My church allows me to make an impact on peoples lives.

Best movie: “Sherlock Holmes”

Ideal guest list: Lionel Messi, King Solomon, Mark Cuban.

Something that you enjoy that would surprise people: I crocheted my own scarf, sewed my own shorts, or made my own dress.

I wish I had been there for: My parents wedding so I could have met them when they were young.
