Who are the top 10 boys HS basketball players in NC? Meet the 2020-21 ‘Super Team’

Robert Dillingham, from Combine Academy in Lincolnton, is the N.C. boys basketball player of the year, and he headlines the first Charlotte Observer/News & Observer Super Team.

The Super Team recognizes the top 10 players in the state.

Dillingham is a 6-1 sophomore guard ranked among the top 10 in the nation. He has offers from schools such as Kansas, North Carolina and Texas. Last season, he averaged 21 points, 4.9 assists and 4.1 rebounds, while shooting nearly 50 percent from the field.

His coach, Jeff McInnis, is the Super Team coach of the year. McInnis, a former UNC point guard, has developed a national program in two years. McInnis is 55-10 in two seasons against one of the toughest schedules in the nation. He led Combine to a non-association schools state championship this season.
