Trinity Academy’s Emmaline Williams is N&O athlete of the week
Trinity Academy’s Emmaline Williams is the News & Observer high school athlete of the week.
Nearly 19,000 votes were cast and Williams finished ahead of Apex football player Ian Bright and Cary Academy’s Gabriella Cucito.
Williams is a sophomore outside hitter on the Trinity Academy volleyball team. She had five kills and seven aces for Trinity Academy in a 3-1 win at Neuse Christian Oct. 4.
The next day, Williams had five kills and two digs in a 3-1 loss to Rocky Mount Academy.
Williams finished off her week with four kills and two digs in a 3-0 sweep at Burlington Christian, Oct. 7, to clinch the Triangle Triad conference title.
