Officials searching for missing person after empty boat found on Harris Lake
The Wake County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a missing person case at Harris Lake.
The sheriff’s office received a report of a possible person overboard Monday just before 2 p.m. near the 4400 block of Bartley Holleman Road, ABC 11 reported.
The boat was registered to Ellis Rodney McCoy, according to a spokesperson from the sheriff’s office, but it’s not clear if he was on the boat.
The search started Monday and was called off in the evening. It will continue on Tuesday morning.
