Take a guess what a robber grabs when the clerk tells him to take a hike
A man who tried to rob a mini mart Sunday night didn’t get away with any cash but did grab something for the road, local authorities said.
A man entered the Jordan Dam Mini Mart about 10:30 p.m. and demanded cash, according to the Chatham County Sheriff’s Office. When his request was not met, the man grabbed a bag of trail mix and left the store, a report said.
The sheriff’s office later determined the suspect also tried to break into two vehicles outside the store and was able to break into one owned by a store employee.
The sheriff’s office is asking the public to help identify the suspect. He is described as a white man between 20 and 30 years old who has brown hair.
Anyone with information about the identity or whereabouts of the suspect can call Investigator Carroll with the Chatham County Sheriff’s Office at 919-548-8694.
