Domestic shooting in Wendell leaves one person dead
The Wake County Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting in a residential area that left one person dead Sunday.
The sheriff's office received a call about a shooting Sunday morning at 4429 Old Milburnie Rd. Deputies found a 35-year-old white male who had been shot, according to a statement from the sheriff's office.
He was later taken to WakeMed in critical condition. He was pronounced dead when he arrived at the hospital.
The shooting appears to be "domestic related," according to the sheriff's office, and a suspect has been detained.
The sheriff's office did not identify the victim.
