Man arrested in double shooting in Orange County

Orange County sheriff’s investigators arrested and charged a man Saturday morning with murder in connection with two fatal shootings Friday morning on Doc Corbett Road in northern Orange County.

Armando Garcia Lopez was located in Greensboro and charged with one of the murders that occurred at his home, according to an Office of the Orange County Sheriff news release. Another murder warrant is forthcoming, the release states. Lopez is being held without bond pending his first court appearance on Monday.

The sheriff’s office identified one of the victims as Armando Aguirre Jr., 37, of Graham. The second victim hasn’t been identified.

Deputies responded to the mid-morning call that two people with gunshot wounds had been found inside the home.
