A man was arrested at a downtown apartment building Monday on charges of trafficking in heroin.

Police charged Nathaniel Edward Lyons, 39, with one count of heroin trafficking by possession and one count of possession of heroin with intent to sell or deliver it.

An arrest warrant said Lyons had 39 grams (about 1.4 ounces) of heroin when he was arrested about 3:30 p.m. at 308 S. Blount St., the Edison Lofts building.

Police did not say in the warrant whether the arrest happened in an apartment.

Arrest records showed Lyons’ address as 930 Laurel Breeze Drive in Knightdale.

He was held in lieu of $250,000 bail pending a Tuesday first court appearance.
