A Campbell University freshman from Stokes County died in a fall late Thursday from a dormitory on the school's Buies Creek campus, and the Harnett County Sheriff's Office and campus police are investigating, the school said.
Ezra Goldbach, from Pinnacle, was a first-year student in Campbell’s business school, President J. Bradley Creed said in a statement issued Friday morning. Goldbach was in the school’s golf course management program, Creed said.
Goldbach fell from a third-floor window in Kitchin Residence Hall, which houses first-year men, spokeswoman Haven Hottel confirmed.
“Our Campus Safety personnel and the Harnett County Sheriff’s Office continue to investigate to determine the facts. In the meantime, let us refrain from conjecture or judgment. Instead let us invest those thoughts in prayerful support for those who mourn,” Creed’s statement said.
