Deborah Ross, the Democratic candidate for Republican Sen. Richard Burr’s seat, has been criticized for her work leading the state’s ACLU chapter.

“Ross defends those who want to burn the American flag, and even called efforts to ban flag-burning ‘ridiculous,’ yet refused to help a disabled veteran fly the flag,” states one ad from the GOP’s Senate Leadership Fund.
