Michael Jordan is still on UNC’s football uniforms — but he won’t be on the sidelines against Louisville
Michael Jordan will not attend North Carolina’s game on Saturday against Louisville, after all, due to travel concerns related to Hurricane Irma, UNC announced on Thursday.
Jordan had been scheduled to be the Tar Heels’ honorary captain. His appearance would have been another opportunity to promote UNC football’s partnership with Jordan Brand, a subsidiary of Nike. UNC is in its first season wearing Jordan Brand uniforms.
Jordan will serve as an honorary captain for another game at a later date, according to UNC.
