Carolina Hurricanes 2017 exhibition schedule includes two home games

The Carolina Hurricanes open their seven-game exhibition schedule in Buffalo on Sept. 18 and play just two exhibition games at home, the team announced Thursday.

The Canes will play the Lightning on Sept. 20 and the Capitals on Sept. 29 at PNC Arena.

Bill Peters will be entering his fourth year as the coach of the Hurricanes and looking to reach the postseason for the first time since 2009.

Sept. 18 at Buffalo, 7 p.m.

Sept. 19 at Tampa Bay, 7:30 p.m.

Sept. 20 Tampa Bay, 7 p.m.

Sept. 23 at Washington, 7 p.m.

Sept. 25 at Edmonton, 9 p.m.

Sept. 27 vs. Edmonton in Saskatoon, Sask., 8 p.m.

Sept. 29 Washington, 7:30 p.m.
