How to (maybe) get tickets to Paul McCartney’s NC show, cheap
As expected, tickets for Paul McCartney’s Raleigh show quickly sold out when they went on sale last week. All that’s available now is the secondary market of broker sites, where prices are sky-high.
But someone will get tickets to his May 27 show at PNC Arena for the price of a record or compact-disc purchase. Locally based Schoolkids Records has two tickets to give away to some lucky buyer of McCartney’s just-released new album, “Egypt Station.”
The CD version goes for $13.99, and the double-vinyl is $34.99. And if you order either online from SchoolkidsRecords.tuneportals.com between now and 8 a.m. Monday, you’ll be entered in a lottery. Multiple purchases do get multiple entries.
There will be a drawing for the tickets next week, with the winner to be notified by email. And since it’s online to buy and enter, no one will have to get out in the storm to take their chance.
