Farm Aid act pulled from lineup in Raleigh, NC due to COVID
Less than two days before the kick off of Farm Aid in Raleigh, COVID-19 has forced organizers to alter the lineup.
Nathaniel Rateliff and The Night Sweats reported “COVID has found us on the road” and have since pulled out of the festival, Farm Aid organizers announced Thursday.
Farm Aid, the annual music festival designed to help America’s family farms, is back in Raleigh on Sept. 24, at Coastal Credit Union Music Park at Walnut Creek.
The lineup for this sold-out event includes some of the biggest names in country, rock and Americana, including Willie Nelson, John Mellencamp, Dave Matthews, Margo Price and Chris Stapleton. Gates open at 11 a.m. Saturday.
Over 20,000 attendees are expected this weekend. Attendees can also visit the Homegrown Village to learn about farming, food and water and energy as well as the Homegrown Concessions area.
In addition to missing Farm Aid, Rateliff tweeted the band also won’t perform at scheduled shows in Wilmington and St. Petersburg, Fla., this weekend.
Farm Aid has not announced a replacement act. Those attending have received an updated schedule via the Farm Aid mobile app.
The concert will be livestreamed on Circle Network, SiriusXM and FarmAid.org.
