While so many North Carolinians are able to stay safely cocooned inside their homes as they abide by stay-at-home orders and practice social distancing guidelines, others across our region and state have been thrust into battle.

Doctors, nurses, therapists and first responders of all kinds are working tirelessly to save lives and keep us all safe, and we all owe them our thanks.

The News & Observer and The Herald-Sun want to feature these health care heroes. If you know someone who fits this description, tell us about them by filling out our nomination form at bit.ly/nchealthhero.

Thank you, and stay safe!
