Cary cancels summer camps due to coronavirus pandemic. Here’s when they could return.
The Town of Cary announced Thursday morning that its summer camps are canceled through July 3 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The city of Raleigh previously announced it has canceled its summer camps through at least June 26.
Cary will offer full refunds to anyone who had already enrolled in its parks, recreation and cultural resources camps.
Summer camps for July and August are still on at this point, but that decision to cancel remains under consideration given the public health emergency, the town said in a news release. Information on those camps will be available in the “coming weeks,” according to the news release.
Registration for non-camp summer events in the town has also been postponed until further notice.
The town had previously canceled all classes, camps, and programs, as well as ticketed events and rentals, through May 31.
