Need to buy liquor for New Year’s? Here’s when ABC stores in the Triangle are open
Liquor stores in the Triangle will operate under different hours this holiday week.
All ABC stores will be open on New Year’s Eve, though hours differ by location (more below).
This year, the holiday falls on a Wednesday, when stores would typically be open.
All ABC stores in Chatham, Durham, Johnston, Orange and Wake counties are closed New Year’s Day, which is Wednesday, Jan. 1.
Remember that wine and beer may be purchased at grocery stores.
Triangle ABC store hours for New Year’s
- Chatham County ABC: Stores are open normal hours throughout the week and close at 8 p.m. New Year’s Eve. Hours vary by location.
- Durham County ABC: Stores close early at 6 p.m. New Year’s Eve and have regular hours (9 a.m.-9 p.m.) throughout the week, except Jan. 1.
- Johnston County ABC: Stores are open until 9 p.m. New Year’s Eve and have regular hours throughout the week, except Jan. 1. Hours vary by store location.
- Orange County ABC: Stores are open regular hours (9 a.m.-9 p.m.) New Year’s Eve and throughout the week, except Jan. 1.
- Wake County ABC: Stores are open regular hours throughout the week, except Jan. 1. Hours vary by location.
