Man charged with multiple felonies after shooting near Crabtree Valley Mall in Raleigh.

Raleigh police have made an arrest days after a shooting on Glenwood Avenue.

At around 5:20 p.m. on Tuesday, police found a woman who had been shot near the intersection of Glenwood Avenue and Creedmoor Road, shutting down traffic near Crabtree Valley Mall. She was taken to the hospital with what police described as “non-life-threatening injuries.”

Kevin Lopez, 23, was charged with felony assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill or inflict serious injury, felony discharging a weapon into occupied property resulting in serious bodily injury, felony attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon, felony attempted obtain property by false pretense, two counts of felony conspiracy and felony possession of firearm by felon.

Police have not released the name of the victim or said if she and Lopez know each other.

The shooting happened within miles and minutes of another shooting. In the other incident on Tuesday, a woman killed a man in self-defense in a road rage incident at Greystone Village Shopping Center.
