Expand summer school, tutoring students who are behind, adding counselors, lowering class sizes are all possible options.
What do you want to happen in North Carolina if Roe v. Wade is overturned?
The N.C. General Assembly should enact legislation that allows abortions only (in) cases of medical necessity.
What should North Carolina do to reduce violent crime?
Build on the success of Senate Bill 300, specifically the study of the state’s criminal laws with a goal of clarifying and consolidating existing crimes. Adequately fund the police and invest in intensive community policing.
Should medical marijuana be legalized in North Carolina?
At this time for research only.
What should the state’s minimum wage be? What policies would you support to help struggling North Carolinians?
I would be in favor of a slight increase in the minimum wage, $10 to $12. Reduce the tax burden and support investments in job training programs.
Should North Carolina expand Medicaid, and how?
There is clearly a need to close the insurance gap in North Carolina; Medicaid expansion (is) one way that the gap could be closed.
