What are the three issues that you see as most important to your constituents and what will you do to address them?
1. Protecting Social Security and Medicare from Republican attempts to eliminate or cut the retirement benefits that folks have worked their whole lives for.
2. Restoring and expanding women’s rights.
3. Protecting democracy from threats at home and abroad.
What action by Congress would you support to help reduce inflation?
The Federal Reserve is the appropriate agency to combat inflation. Congress should not politicize the issue and “root” for the current administration to fail. We’re one country and if President Biden fails, we all get hurt.
What federal legislation would you support on abortion?
Codify Roe v. Wade.
Should members of Congress be banned from owning and trading individual stocks?
Yes.
What changes in U.S. immigration enforcement and restrictions would you support?
I support comprehensive immigration reform and an expedited pathway to citizenship for dreamers.
What legislation would you support to make Americans safer from crime? What legislation would you support to make mass shootings less likely?
In Congress, I will support legislation that makes it easier and quicker for federal law enforcement to investigate, charge, and secure convictions against individuals who plan, organize, and fund insurrections against our government. As a retired Air Force officer, I’m outraged that nearly all the Americans who participated in a coup, fake elector schemes, and election tampering are still free to commit more crimes. We must pass stronger laws to stop crimes against our democracy.
What, if anything, does Congress need to investigate?
N/A
Do you accept the results of the 2020 presidential election?
Yes.
