Professional experience: Art and Aviation Teacher, Fort Yukon, Alaska, Police Officer/ Narcotics, Danville Police Department. Pilot with The Virginia Defense Force, Fort Pickett, Virginia. Commercial Pilot, Flight Instructor with General Aviation/Averett University.

Education: Graduated Averett University, Danville, Virginia, BS Business Administration/Aerospace Technology

Please list any notable government or civic involvement: I worked as an undercover Narcotics Officer and worked closely with SWAT, the Criminal Investigation Division of the IRS and with the Virginia State Police. I have also volunteered with Habitat for Humanity and The Raleigh Rescue Mission, and I am an Ordained Minister with the Christian Global Outreach Ministry.

What would be your top priority if elected?

School safety pertaining to gun violence and drugs.

By percentage, what raises should state employees, school staff and teachers receive in the next state budget?

Our state needs to raise wages to become competitive to the national average.

What legislation would you support to improve Triangle transportation, housing or infrastructure? Please be specific.

I believe in working with our state government, on affordable housing for our workforce community and with developers on more affordable housing through our Habitat for Humanity programs.

Do you think the legislature should fund about $500 million for private school vouchers through the Opportunity Scholarship program? Why or why not?

Yes, I believe every student should have an equal and level education.

Is there an issue on which you disagree with your party? What is your position on that issue?

I am sure there are and will be controversy within the same party, but, working through those issues together and coming up with common sense ideas and communication, together is far more productive than not.
