Here’s your chance to tell us what stories you’d like us to write.

Since we launched CuriousNC last month, we’ve heard from readers across the state with questions about everything from voting and roads to health care and history. Journalists at The News & Observer, The Charlotte Observer and The Durham Herald-Sun will answer at least one question a week, and at times — like today — we’ll ask you to vote on which question you’d like us to answer.

We’re opening our first voting round with five reader-submitted questions that touch on the state’s past. Cast your vote below for the question you’d like us to tackle first.

About CuriousNC

CuriousNC is a joint project of The Charlotte Observer, The Durham Herald-Sun and The News & Observer that invites our readers to tell us what they’d like us to investigate and report.

Ask us your questions about the state’s culture, people, history, politics, sports, economy and institutions, and our reporters will dig for the answers. Sometimes we’ll ask whether you want to come along for the reporting. We’ll do voting rounds when we have similarly themed questions.

Just fill in the form below to get started.
