Thursday: These Triangle schools & universities will be closed or delayed due to snow

Schools in the Triangle are closing or delaying opening on Thursday, Feb. 20 because of snow and wintry precipitation.

The first bands of light snow arrived in the morning Wednesday, Feb. 19, and were followed by heavier precipitation in the afternoon, The News & Observer reported. The snow made roads slick, leading to wrecks across the Triangle.

Keep track of which schools are making schedule changes with this list, which will be updated.

Some Triangle school systems don’t have to make up snow days, but not all. Here’s an explainer.
