Isiah Adler Ulysse, 17, also had been charged with murder, police spokeswoman Donna-maria Harris said.

The three are accused of killing Brandon Alexzander Chavis, 26, whom police found shot Sunday night in the 3100 block of Calumet Drive.

Chavis was pronounced dead at WakeMed Hospital, where EMS workers took him.

Police said Wednesday that Chavis’ shooting did not appear to be a random attack, but they did not disclose a motive in the case.

State records show that Thorpe has prior convictions in Alamance, Edgecombe and Nash counties.

Bradby and Ulysse do not have criminal records in North Carolina.
