The wait is almost over to visit North Carolina’s first Crooked Hammock Brewery.

After months of construction, the new Raleigh restaurant and brewery will hold a grand opening Monday, April 20.

Co-owner Rich Garrahan and his business partner, Josh Grapski, opened the first Crooked Hammock in Delaware, wanting a place where they could bring their families that was modeled after casual cookouts they experienced growing up.

Both the menu and the atmosphere at Crooked Hammock carry the cookout theme through.

Diners will find dishes such as Sticky Lager Grilled Chicken, Char Broiled Steak Skewers and Honey BBQ Ribs. There’s also burgers, nachos, pizzas and a Bavarian-style pretzel.

Beers — including lagers, IPAs and sours — are brewed on site. Raleigh’s Crooked Hammock will offer 16 options on tap made in a 10-barrel brewery that can produce 20 kegs of beer at a time.

“We’ve always been this easy drinking craft brewery really focused on lighter, fruit-forward, flavorful, easy drinking beers,” Garrahan previously told The News & Observer.

Customers can also order house-made hard lemonades, teas and sodas, plus signature cocktails.

New restaurant and brewery is located near Crabtree mall

Spanning 8,600 square feet, Crooked Hammock will feature high ceilings and a wraparound bar with high-tops and TVs. The restaurant and brewery will also include an expansive backyard with a playground, fire pits, cornhole and hammocks.

Located at 4501 Edwards Mill Road near Crabtree mall, Raleigh’s Crooked Hammock has a Jeep out front, a tradition for the brand. The vehicle was donated by Paul Hansmeyer of South Carolina’s PI Kustomz.

Crooked Hammock was founded in Delaware in 2015 and has since expanded to North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The chain also plans to open a location in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, in 2027.
