A new grocer will make its Triangle debut in a building that formerly housed a Lidl.

Go Fresh 365 plans to open in the former Lidl at High House Crossing in Cary. The grocer has signed on as a tenant at the shopping center, Jennifer Maisch, senior vice president of marketing and retail partnerships for Kimco Realty, which handles leasing for the property, told The News & Observer in an email.

Triangle Business Journal first reported news of the new grocer.

An Asian supermarket specializing in Chinese foods, Go Fresh 365 has existing stores in Maryland, New York, Florida and Massachusetts. The chain is also expanding into Connecticut, according to its website.

The N&O has reached out to Go Fresh 365 for more information. No opening date has been announced for the store.

Lidl closed the “underperforming” location in July 2023, but the grocer’s other store in the Wake County town, at 1105 N. Harrison Ave., remains open.

Previously, the High House Crossing space was home to a Harris Teeter. The North Carolina-based grocer closed the location in 2017 after 20 years.

High House Crossing, located at High House Road and NC Highway 55, also includes retailers such as Triumph Gymnastics and Masa Sushi and Ramen. The shopping center is less than 2 miles away from H Mart, one of the most popular Asian grocery stores in the area.
