In August, Rolesville Mayor Ronnie Currin ordered a mask mandate unlike some other Wake County towns. Do you agree with this decision?
Yes, I voted to follow the mask mandate to be consistent with Wake County. Having a mandate that differs from county to local level makes it difficult for our small businesses to stay consistent with which mandate to follow.
What is Rolesville doing right, and wrong, on managing growth?
Rolesville is working to grow responsibly and has taken steps to rewrite our land development ordinance in order for more open space to be preserved as well as to make our community inviting to responsible developers.
If elected, what would your two or three priorities be during your first year in office?
1) While we cannot control inevitable growth, I would continue to be sure Rolesville grows responsibly
2) Work even harder to be sure our natural surroundings are protected and to add to those resources
3) Work to develop our land currently designated as “The Farm” into a park for all Rolesville citizens to be able to use and enjoy
What unique skills or life perspective would you bring to city governance?
My 24 years of past and current experience in estimating along with project management and contract review have helped greatly in my last four years of service to Rolesville. It’s the little things that can make a big difference in the success of a community.
