A store supports a good cause — and it’s coming to a popular shopping center in Raleigh.

BoxLunch, which sells licensed clothes and trinkets, said it plans to open at Crabtree Valley Mall.

“With every $10 spent on our pop culture-themed product offering of apparel, accessories, home goods, gift and novelty, and collectibles, BoxLunch will help provide a meal secured by Feeding America on behalf of local member food banks,” the clothing company wrote on its website.

Here’s what we know about BoxLunch and other changes at Crabtree.

What will the new store sell?

The new store will offer a “selection of all things fandom, pop culture, and downright must-have merch” that features favorites ranging “from Disney and anime to Marvel and Harry Potter,” BoxLunch wrote on its website.

BoxLunch is planned for the first level of Crabtree mall, near Belk. A sign at the shopping center didn’t reveal when the location could welcome customers but said it’s “coming soon.”

“The addition of BoxLunch further strengthens Crabtree’s merchandising mix as the center continues to introduce new retailers and experiences that resonate with today’s shoppers,” a mall spokesperson told The News & Observer in a Friday, July 10 email. “Additional details, including the official opening date and grand opening celebrations, will be announced soon.”

For now, BoxLunch fans have other options in the Triangle. The company's website lists locations at The Streets at Southpoint mall in Durham and Carolina Premium Outlets in Smithfield.

The N&O has reached out to BoxLunch for more information and is awaiting a response.

Other stores opening at the mall

The opening isn’t the only change expected at Crabtree, located at 4325 Glenwood Ave. Other additions planned for the Raleigh mall include:

Meanwhile, store closings have hit the mall. Furniture World shared plans to shut down, and clothing store Premium Stitches left for another Triangle mall, The N&O previously reported.
