North Carolina Republicans have released the text of their bill proposing a 12-week abortion ban.

GOP lawmakers announced Tuesday evening that they had reached a consensus on banning abortions in the state after 12 weeks. Late on Tuesday night, the 46-page bill was uploaded to the General Assembly’s website.

The bill, named the “Care for Women, Children, and Families Act,” includes exceptions for rape and incest, fetal anomalies and the life of the mother. It has funding for services to help families who have recently had children, such as child care and parental leave for state workers and teachers, as well as foster care and contraception.

It’s scheduled to be heard by a committee Wednesday. Lawmakers plan to finish votes on the bill by Thursday.
